It Takes a Village
I recently had the incredible honor of photographing Sarah Alper. I asked her to share her story with me.
"I am a lifelong learner. I like hard challenges. I can execute and grind with the best of them! Professional growth through learning inspires me, keeps me highly engaged and motivates me. I love working with high-growth technology companies, helping them scale their best-in-class processes and systems...the foundational building blocks supported by strong data integrity and meaningful analytics. Building global, talented, diverse teams that thrive through collaboration and meaningful work allows me to lead with empathy and build long-lasting relationships. It takes a village to build meaningful companies, and it takes patience, communication, trust and partnership.”
“My parents taught me from an early age how to work hard. They believed in me and always told me I could achieve great things, and expected it from me. I didn't want to let them down. They taught me to persevere through tough situations, to never give up, and to never lose my integrity along the way. Now, as a mother to two daughters, I want to instill the same values in them. My goal is for them to believe that anything they want to be in life they can be, with strong values, hard work and fortitude.”
“Working in technology has been fulfilling and rewarding for me because I like hard challenges. I love that there is always someone around the corner to learn from, developing something new, and a new challenge to go deeper, faster, smarter. Technology folks are resilient—they are grinders, they execute, they fight for the investment dollars and they are held accountable to delivering. My love for technology companies was built throughout my career, and was solidified helping two pre-IPO companies achieve their objectives by entering the public markets.”
“I'm so thankful I spent time networking, meeting new people, learning how to tell my story, being vulnerable, and when needed, I asked for help. I am proud of my accomplishments so far, and am excited for what the next chapter holds."
Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your story and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for you.
