Headshots for CEO & Founder
Earlier this fall, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph fellow Chief Lori Mazor.
I asked Lori to share a little bit about her journey. “I appreciated Alissa’s approach to her craft, as it's quite similar to the way I approach my own practice of creating physical and digital environments for people to do their best work. The end product is always rewarding, but the process is where the real chemistry happens - a combination of empathy, technique, serendipity, and teamwork.”
“The truth is, I really like what it feels like to be me. I’ve always felt like the vision in my mind and the memory of my own experience surpasses any picture. I remember going to a photo shoot early in my career, so excited about capturing this milestone and then getting the pictures back and thinking, really? Is that what I look like?”
“Particularly as I approach 50, my inner person is getting more youthful as my body is getting noticeably older, and photos look less and less like the person I recognize. And then I met Alissa. I had seen pictures she had taken of other Chief women and there was something different about them….something I couldn’t quite articulate. Alissa has perfected the art of capturing a person’s essence.”
Lori, thank you for sharing your secret to success – a combination of empathy, technique, serendipity, and teamwork.
