The Importance of Building Bridges
I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Nina Sichtermann. Nina, thank you so much for the honor!
I asked Nina to tell me about herself and why she’s worked in Operations most of her professional life.
Here’s what she told me:
“I enjoy the structural and strategical impact of Operations, the fact that to be successful, even the smallest pieces need to come together and work out.
I love the pace and the agility that comes with it, but for me the most fundamental part of any Operation is the people. There is nothing you can achieve without having the right team by your side.
Working in Operations can be messy, chaotic, stressful and it sometimes seems impossible to get to your goal. It is your team, the people that work along with you that make you successful and achieve the sometimes impossible.
This is where my true passion lies -to build teams, bring them together and be their lead.
When I was exploring having a new headshot taken, I knew I wanted one that reflects my personality very well, and isn’t just the typical kind, but rather one that captures the real me.
I 100% found what I was looking for thanks to Alissa. She has given me headshots that reflect my personality and I absolutely love them.
Most people think being an ‘operational type’ means that I’m all business, but there is more to it.
A company is just a company, but what makes a company succeed is the building of the bridges that brings teams together, and gets and keeps them inspired. Growth and profit are a product of how people work together.”
Nina’s takeaway: It’s the people that make companies run well.
Nina, you're so right. It's the people that make companies run well. Thank you!
