I recently had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Debby Morris.
Debby has recently taken the leap into becoming an author—something she’s always wanted to do. As a CFO and mother of twins, Debby didn’t have the time she needed to pursue this dream.
“Before I begin the next chapter of my career, I have started writing a book. My hope is that sharing my experience as a woman in corporate America, as well as that of many of my colleagues and friends, will help guide other young women through their journey.”
I asked her what advice she would give younger women in business: “Align yourself with the right leader and the right team. The right leader will challenge you by providing opportunities for you to grow, give you autonomy to thrive, and will always have your back. The right team will respect and trust each other’s strengths, share common goals and work better together. With the right leader and the right team, you can bring your best self each day, think big, communicate openly and frankly, and achieve your full potential.”
Where does Debby find inspiration along the way? “People.”
“It’s all about the people. I have been fortunate to work with so many amazing people. My greatest fulfillment comes from leading, inspiring, and helping others achieve their personal best. The people we work for and with make all the difference.”
